Gold St Gerard & St Colette Cluster Necklace, Patron Saints of Fertility and Expectant Mothers, Antique Replicas of French Medals Pendants
$68.00
Gorgeous cluster of gold medallions with tremendous meaning! Both the Saint Gerard Majella and Saint Colette of Corbie medallions are antique replicas of rare and beautiful French medallions. St Gerard and St Colette are powerful intercessors for fertility and for expectant mothers. These are solid shiny gold bronze which looks like carat gold, but does need polishing with a cloth to stay shiny and beautiful. I am blessed to have these originals in my collection and be able to share these replicas with you.
The St Gerard Majella pendant is 5/8 inch diameter while the St Colette of Corbie pendant is a tiny bit smaller.
The St. Gerard Majella medallion reverses to Our Lady of Perpetual Help and is signed by the French artist Penin. Penin is spelled backwards on the St. Gerard side of the medal. One side says "Saint Gerard Majella Priez PN" (pour nous) which means St. Gerard Majella Pray for Us. The other side says "ND (Notre Dame) du Perpetuel Secours Priez Pour Nous" which means Our Lady of Perpetual Help Pray for Us.
The St Colette of Corbie medallion reverses to St Francis of Assisi. This beautifully detailed and rare piece is designed and signed by the French artists Adolph Penin and Karo. Saint Colette was a follower of St Francis of Assisi and also had a great love of animals. The text is Latin "Sancta Coleta" meaning Holy Colette. Details on the St Colette side include several birds in the lower left corner which is commonly associated with St Colette of Corbie. The St Francis of Assisi side has a bit of wear.
St Colette was a miracle baby herself born in 1381 in France as she was an answer to her 60 year old childless mother's incessant prayers. Saint Colette has documented miracles related to babies and fertility such as praying a stillborn baby back to life. She was a Franciscan and reformed the Order of the Poor Clares.
St Gerard is the patron saint of unborn children, childbirth, expectant mothers and fertility. I can personally attest to the intercession of St. Gerard with the pregnancy of my first child. I was dialated 2 centimeters, hospitalized and expected to deliver at 30 weeks. My mother-in-law gave me a stuffed bear with a St. Gerard medal attached and his prayer card. We all prayed for St. Gerard's intercession. Doctors could not explain how my cervix closed back up and I delivered my son at 38 weeks.
The St Colette and St Gerard prayer cards are two separate 3.5” x 5” cards (shown together due to Etsy’s number of photos limitation). In the drop down box, please select if you would like the Fertility Prayer Cards (both St Gerard & St Colette) or the Expectant Mother Prayer Cards (both St Gerard & St Colette).
These medallions are available on rings, or dangling on a 4x3mm gold plated cable chain. The individual saint medals can be purchased in separate listings. The chain used for this cluster necklace is a bit heavier since two medallions are dangling.

These fine replica pieces are cast in solid gold bronze using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. Solid gold bronze does require periodic polishing with a cloth (more or less depending on things like lotions, chemicals and water), but will stay shiny gold. A polishing cloth is included. The jump ring is gold filled (which is considered higher quality than gold plated).
