This is a .925 sterling silver, antique replica, of a very special and unusual Saint Dymphna medal. This piece dangles on a 1.2mm oxidized sterling silver spiga chain with a lobster clasp closure. I am blessed to have this medal in my collection and be able to share it with you.
The medal is approximately 5/8 inch round. The prayer card shown in photos is included in the gift box.
Saint Dymphna is the patroness of those suffering nervous and mental afflictions as well as victims of incest. This includes mental afflictions such as Dementia and Alzheimer's.
This fine replica is cast in solid .925 sterling silver using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. The oxidation finishing process makes this non-maintenance.
