Gorgeous sterling silver antique replicas of rare French medals signed by the artist Ferdinand Py dangle playfully on this sterling silver chain. The oval medal is a Miraculous Medal with the traditional phrase (in French) of "O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee". The French is abbreviated from "O Marie concue sans peche priez pour nous qui avons recours a vous". The second medal is St Michael the Archangel. I am blessed to have these originals in my collection and be able to share them with you at a reasonable price.
These pieces dangle on a 1.2 mm oxidized sterling silver spiga chain with a lobster clasp closure. The Miraculous Medal measures approximately 1/2 inch wide by 3/4 inch high. The St Michael the Archangel medal measures 1/3 inch wide by 3/4 inch high. Both medals may be purchased individually, but complement each other beautifully!
These fine replicas are cast in solid .925 sterling silver using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. The oxidation finishing process makes these non-maintenance. These medals are not stamped 925 or sterling because they are identical to the original antique. They will test as .925 sterling silver.

As on my other reviews, this was exactly as described, is beautiful, and comes in a nice gift box with a polishing cloth included. It has a nice weight to it, arrives quickly and was carefully packed.
