Very pretty and delicate antique replica Our Lady of Lourdes antique gold medal dangles on this antique gold 2x3mm cable chain with a lobster clasp closure. This medal has the date "11 Fev 1858" on the front which is French for February 11, 1858, the date of the First Apparition of Our Lady of Lourdes to Saint Bernadette. The back of the medal has the symbol for Notre Dame de Lourdes.
This fine replica piece is cast in solid gold bronze using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. The oxidation finishing process prevents tarnishing from contact with air. Excessive skin oils may darken the backside of the medal. It is also best to not wear gold bronze in water. A polishing cloth is included so the medal can be polished to the original appearance. You would not damage the medal by contact with water since it is solid gold bronze (not a plating), but it may darken and need additional polishing.
The medal is 1 inch high. Please message me if you would prefer a different length chain.
