Antique Gold Our Lady Untier of Knots Medallion on Necklace, Antique Replica of French Our Lady Undoer of Knots Marian Devotion Pendant
$30.00
Gorgeous antiqued gold bronze, antique replica, of a rare Our Lady Untier of Knots medallion that was made in France. Our Lady Untier of Knots (also known as Our Lady Undoer of Knots) is a Marian devotion that was inspired by a German baroque icon. The icon features the Blessed Virgin Mary, surrounded by the heavenly host and under a dove representing the Holy Spirit, undoing knots while crushing the head of a serpent under her heel. The knots represent the results of sin in our spiritual life. As we engage habitually in sin, it becomes harder and harder to return to virtue, just as a knot that is pulled tighter and tighter becomes harder to untie. God's grace, offered to us through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, can undo any knot and conquer any sin. It has been said that the knot of Eve’s disobedience was loosed by the obedience of Mary. Knots of sin, knots of disobedience, knots of unbelief, knots of a troubled marriage, knots of a troubled relationship and many more can be freed through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The front has the French text "Marie Qui De Fait Les Noeuds" meaning "Mary Who Unties the Knots".
This medallion is 5/8" and is available by itself (with a ring), or on an 18” satellite chain necklace. Please contact me if you would prefer a different length or style chain. The beaded satellite chain is only available as 18".
This fine replica piece is cast in solid gold bronze using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. The oxidation finishing process prevents tarnishing from contact with air. Excessive skin oils may darken the backside of the medal. It is also best to not wear gold bronze in water. A polishing cloth is included so the medal can be polished to the original appearance. You would not damage the medal by contact with water since it is solid gold bronze (not a plating), but it may darken and need additional polishing.

Thank you for visiting my Holy Moments Etsy Shop! This has been my personal shopping account on Etsy for years. I recently decided to open an Etsy shop and display a selection of products from my established Holy Moments on-line and show company (HolyMoments.com).
The artisan jewelry and rosaries are unique to Holy Moments. Many pieces are only a few of a kind due to limited availability of certain gemstones or hand cast items. New, exciting products are always being added to both the Etsy shop and company website.
A portion of profits are donated to the Cancer Research Institute in New York, a leader in immunotherapy research. Please read my shop story for more.
