Gorgeous solid gold bronze antique replica of a rare French Miraculous Medal signed by the artist Ferdinand Py dangles artfully on this antique gold plated satellite chain. The oval medal is a Miraculous Medal with the traditional phrase (in French) of "O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee". The French is abbreviated from "O Marie concue sans peche priez pour nous qui avons recours a vous". I am blessed to have this original in my collection and be able to share it with you at a reasonable price.
The Miraculous Medal measures approximately 1/2 inch wide by 3/4 inch high.
This fine replica piece is cast in solid gold bronze using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. The oxidation finishing process prevents tarnishing from contact with air. Excessive skin oils may darken the backside of the medal. It is also best to not wear gold bronze in water. A polishing cloth is included so the medal can be polished to the original appearance. You would not damage the medal by contact with water since it is solid gold bronze (not a plating), but it may darken thus need additional polishing.
