An absolutely stunning antiqued pewter, antique replica, of a rare Scapular Medallion from France. This is signed by the highly collectible artist Louis Tricard and is a bit larger than many of his medallions. The Sacred Heart of Jesus is on one side and Our Lady of Mount Carmel is on the other side.
Please note that there is less detail on this replica than on my original (such as the artist's name, see photo). The pewter casting process reduces details, but is better for a 2-sided medal. The Heart of Jesus is faint in the original design as well.
One side has in Latin "Maria Virgo De Monte Carmeli Ora Pro Nobis (OPN)" meaning "Virgin Mary from Mount Carmel Pray for Us". The other side has in French "Voici Ce Coeur Qui Vous" meaning "Here is this Heart that has your blood (the Sacred Heart of Jesus)".
This replica is solid pewter that is lightly antiqued. The pewter is lead and cadmium free. No polishing or maintenance needed! Made in the U.S.A. by a family-owned company.
This reversible 1 inch diameter medallion dangles on an antique silver plated cable chain necklace. The adjustable length chain option can be worn from 18 to 20 inches long. The 17" option is a fixed length chain.
