This is a solid bronze antique replica of a rare medal from the Oratoire St. Joseph in Montreal, Quebec. "Saint Joseph Priez Pour Nous" in French which means St. Joseph Pray for Us. The raised details are highlighted beautifully by the oxidation process. I am blessed to own the original medal, but the oxidation process on this replica makes it even more gorgeous!
The backside has a textured image of the Oratoire St. Joseph du Mont Royal. Montreal's mountain is called "Mont Royal".
St Joseph is the patron saint of the worker and of Canada. As the Father of Jesus who always gives 100% to God, he represents total humility.
This St. Joseph medal holding the infant Jesus dangles on a 2x3mm cable chain with a lobster clasp closure. Please contact me if you would prefer a different length chain.
The medal is just under 1 inch.
