Gorgeous shiny gold antique replica of a rare French Miraculous Medal signed by the artist Ferdinand Py dangles artfully on this gold 2x6mm paperclip chain. The oval medal is a Miraculous Medal with the traditional phrase (in French) of "O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee". The French is abbreviated from "O Marie concue sans peche priez pour nous qui avons recours a vous". I am blessed to have this original in my collection and be able to share this replica with you at a reasonable price.
The Miraculous Medal measures approximately 1/2 inch wide by 3/4 inch high.
This fine replica is cast in solid gold bronze using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. Gold bronze does require periodic polishing using a cloth, more or less depending on usage, such as wearing in water. With polishing, it will stay shiny gold since this piece is solid (not plated). A polishing cloth is included. The chain is gold plated.
