Gold St Charles Borromeo Medal and Necklace, By French Artist Tricard, Antique Replica, Patron Saint of Stomach Ailments, Weight Loss

This is a shiny gold antique replica of a very rare and beautiful Saint Charles Borromeo medal from France. Around the border is in Latin, "Sancte Charles Borromee OPN (Ora Pro Nobis)" meaning "Holy Saint Charles Bommoreo Pray for Us". I am blessed to have this original piece signed by the French artist Louis Tricard in my collection and be able to share it with you at a reasonable price. I have included a picture of the page from the Collectors Medallion book with this medal.
St Charles Borromeo is the patron saint of stomach ailments, dieting and weight loss. He is also the patron saint of bishops, catechists, seminarians, spiritual directors and spiritual leaders. As the Cardinal Archbishop of Milan, he is well known for his love of feeding the poor and for his heroic response in administering sacraments during the plague as many priests were taking shelter.

The medal is 3/4 inch round and dangles on a textured cable chain necklace with a lobster clasp closure. Please contact me if you would prefer a different chain style.
This fine replica is cast in solid gold bronze using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. Gold bronze does not contain gold, but is a yellow version of the more common red bronze. Gold bronze does require periodic polishing using a cloth, more or less depending on usage, such as wearing in water. With polishing, it will stay shiny gold since this piece is solid (not plated). A polishing cloth is included.
