Gorgeous solid .925 sterling silver antique replica of a rare medal from the Oratoire St. Joseph in Montreal, Quebec. "Saint Joseph Priez Pour Nous" raised around the border which is French for "St. Joseph Pray for Us". The raised details are highlighted beautifully by the antiquing finish. I am blessed to have this original medal in my collection, but the oxidation process on this replica makes it even more gorgeous!
The backside has a textured image of the Oratoire St. Joseph du Mont Royal. Montreal's mountain is called "Mont Royal".
St Joseph is the patron saint of the worker and of Canada. As the Father of Jesus who always gives 100% to God, he represents total humility.
This just under 1 inch diameter St. Joseph medallion dangles on an oxidized 1.5mm sterling silver wheat chain with a lobster clasp closure.
This fine replica is cast in solid .925 sterling silver using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. The oxidation finishing process prevents tarnishing from the air. This will test as .925 sterling silver, but does not have "925" or "sterling" stamped on the back because it is identical to the antique original piece.
