This is a sterling silver antique replica of a very rare St. Michael the Archangel medal that was made in France with words in Latin. I am blessed to own this original and be able to share with you.
The medal is available by itself, on a sterling silver wheat chain or on an adjustable suede leather lace.
The front of the medal has Latin "Michael pugnavit cum dragon et fecit victoriam" which means "Michael fought with the dragon and prevailed".
The back of the medal has Latin "Quis ut deus" which means "Who is like God". The Prayer to St Michael (shown in photos) is included in the gift box.
A gorgeous, unique piece with the sides a bit thicker than the middle of the medal which gives it beautiful depth. It measures just under 1 inch diameter.
For the suede lace option, camel brown 3mm suede leather is adjustable up to 26 or 30 inches long. The sterling silver antique replica slider bead allows the leather to be worn as a shorter length. If you would prefer a longer leather lace, please let me know.
For the chain option, this medal dangles on a 1.5mm oxidized sterling silver wheat chain with a lobster clasp closure. Please contact me if you would prefer a different length chain.
These fine replica pieces are cast in .925 sterling silver using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. The oxidation process eliminates the need to polish this piece. This medal is not stamped 925 or sterling because it is identical to the original antique. It will test as .925 sterling silver.

Packaged beyond pretty with a touching note! The St. Michael medal I loved. I see a lot of the traditional "Pray for us" etc. But this one said, "Michael fought the dragon and prevailed". My son, Michael lost his father this year to COVID after 6 months in the ICU and he has struggles of his own, so this is to help him prevail. It also says, "One who is like God" (or something similar), which of course my son is.. I named him Michael for the protection of the Archangel, even though I am not Catholic nor especially Christian. We miss his father so much. This year and forever.
