This is a sterling silver, antique replica, of a very special and rare St Michael medal signed both front and back by French artist Louis Tricard. Around the border has "Sancte Michael Ora Pro Nobis" which means "Saint Michael Pray for Us" in Latin.
This is a replica of a highly collectible, circa 1900, medallion signed by Louis-Victor Tricard, a renowned French engraver and medallist. I am blessed to have this original in my collection and be able to share it with you at a reasonable price.
This piece dangles on a 1.2mm oxidized sterling silver spiga chain with a lobster clasp closure.
The medal is approximately 5/8 inch round. The Prayer to Saint Michael, shown in photos, is included in the gift box.
This fine replica is cast in solid .925 sterling silver using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. The oxidation finishing process makes this non-maintenance. This medal is not stamped 925 or sterling because it is identical to the original antique. It will test as .925 sterling silver.
