Beautiful novena to Saint Peregrine Laziosi (Pellegrino Peregrinus), the patron saint of those suffering from cancer. St. Peregrine was miraculously healed of a cancerous growth during a vision of Christ coming down from the cross to touch his leg. His feast day is May 1. The novena may be prayed over any 9 day period, but is often started on April 22 or 23. The opening and closing prayer is said everyday with the appropriate daily prayer in the middle.
