Sterling Silver St Charbel Makhlouf Medal Pendant Necklace, Replica of Rare Saint Sharbel Charm, Lebanese Saint, Miraculous Intercessor
$35.00
Wonderful antique replica of a very rare small medal of Blessed Charbel Makhlouf from Lebanon. This unique pendant dangles on a 1mm oxidized sterling silver spiga chain. I am blessed to have this original in my collection and be able to share it with you. The antiquing finishing process brings out the beautiful details so this is much nicer than the original.
The wording is difficult to read (even on the original medal). This is a small and charming piece of meaningful art. The magnification in photos makes the wording look more unclear, but in person, this is gorgeous.
The front side has Beatus (Blessed) Charbel Makhlouf. The bottom of the front side is in Arabic. On the backside, is a Cedar Tree of Lebanon (or Lebanese Cedar) which is very significant and native to Lebanon. The Latin text above the tree is "justus vitalma florebit sicutcedrrus libani mvlii plicabivi" meaning "the righteous will flourish like the cedar of Lebanon". Saint Charbel (also Sharbel) is considered the true "cedar of Lebanon" standing in eternal prayer on the top of a mountain. He was beatified in 1965 and canonized in 1977.
St Charbel was a Lebanese Maronite Monk considered the Wonder Worker of Lebanon. He has a fascinating story such as intense light emanating from his body. St. Charbel has many stories as a powerful intercessor through whom God desires to reveal his healing touch.
This fine replica is cast in .925 sterling silver using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. The oxidation (antiquing) finishing process makes this piece very low maintenance. This medallion will test as sterling silver. There is not a 925 stamp because this piece is identical to the original.
This pendant is 5/8 inch diameter.

Prayer to Saint Charbel Makhlouf
Lord, infinitely Holy and Glorified in Your Saints,
You have inspired Charbel, the saint monk,
to lead the perfect life of a hermit.
We thank You for granting him the blessing
and the strength to detach himself from the world
so that the heroism of the monastic virtues of poverty,
obedience, and chastity, could triumph in his hermitage.
We beseech You to grant us the grace of loving and serving You,
following his example.
Almighty God, Who has manifested
the power of St. Charbel's intercession
through his countless miracles and favours,
grant us... (state your intention here) through his intercession.
Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory be to the Father.
