This is a solid bronze, antique replica, of a very special St Francis of Assisi medal signed by French artist Louis Tricard. Around the border has "Saint Francois D'Assise Priez Pour Nous" which means "Saint Francis of Assisi Pray for Us" in French. The backside has a decorative ring like most Tricard medals.
This is a replica of a collectible, circa 1900, medallion signed by Louis-Victor Tricard, a renowned French engraver and medallist. I am blessed to have this original in my collection and be able to share it with you at a reasonable price.
This piece dangles on a 2x3mm cable chain with a lobster clasp closure.
The medal is between 5/8 inch and 3/4 inch round. It is a bit bigger than the St Michael and St Anne medals by Tricard (also available in this shop).
This fine replica is cast in solid bronze using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. The oxidation finishing process highlights the details on this gorgeous piece.
