This antique gold, antique replica, Holy Spirit medal is loaded with symbolism! The front has a dove with a trefoil combined with an equilateral triangle as a representation of The Trinity. The back has a scroll with the 7 Gifts of the Holy Spirit. On the scroll, the gifts are listed: Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety. At the bottom of the scroll is Isaiah 11:1-2.
This wonderful medal dangles on an antique gold 18" satellite chain with a lobster clasp closure.
This Holy Spirit fine antique replica, originally from Italy, is cast in solid gold bronze using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. The oxidation finishing process prevents tarnishing from contact with air. Excessive skin oils may darken the backside of the medal. It is also best to not wear gold bronze in water. A polishing cloth is included so the medal can be polished to the original appearance. You would not damage the medal by contact with water since it is solid gold bronze (not a plating), but it may darken and need additional polishing.
The necklace is 18 inches long and the medal is 5/8 inch high.
