Gorgeous sterling silver, antique replica, of a special two-sided French medallion signed by OBC. A raised crucifix with radiating beams is on one side with the Latin text "Adoremus te Christe quia redemisti mundum" meaning "Let us worship you, Christ, because you have redeemed the world". A wonderfully textured Lourdes Grotto is on the second side. I am blessed to have this mint condition original in my collection and be able to share this replica with you.
This piece is available as the medal only (with a ring) or dangling on a 1.3mm oxidized sterling silver wheat chain.
The medal is just under 3/4 inch round.
This fine replica is cast in solid .925 sterling silver using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. The oxidation finishing process makes this non-maintenance. This medal is not stamped 925 or sterling since it is identical to the antique medallion, but will test as .925 sterling silver.
