Absolutely gorgeous hand-sketched and artistically hand-carved in relief Crucifix Palm Cross and Birds Eye Rhyolite Gemstone single-decade rosary. LOVE this! A solid bronze antique replica large French Miraculous Medal finishes the piece and bronze beads separate the gemstones. The palm cross is attached to the rosary by a 1.5mm leather cord and is perfect sized to hold in the palm of your hand and find comfort. You can run your fingers over the relief carving of our Crucified Lord.
This is similar in concept to a rosary ring, but so much more comforting and beautiful.
This rosary can be displayed on a table as a piece of religious art that is close at hand for prayer.
The 14mm smooth round Birds Eye Rhyolite gemstones have so much variation and character while blending the warm tones together beautifully. I have enough of these gorgeous stones to make a few single decade rosaries, but am unable to find more of this size and type of stone.
The cross is a copyrighted ByRon PalmCross original. They are hand-carved from American Black Walnut and each one is one-of-a-kind. The front and back surfaces are slightly curved to fit into the "palm" of the hand. No varnish or lacquer is applied, so the oils from the hands holding the PalmCross become the finish. Every cross is numbered on the back with the year of copyright (1997), the year it was carved, and the number carved of that style (Crucifix). These are amazing crosses and "the Cadillac of" palm or comfort crosses!
These antique replica pieces (the Miraculous Medal and beads) are cast in solid bronze using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. The oxidation finishing process prevents tarnishing. This French Miraculous Medal is custom cast from an antique medal in my collection.
The palm cross is 5 and 1/4 inches high, 4 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick. The rosary laid flat at the longest point is 14 and 1/2 inches.
This comes in a gift box.
