Absolutely gorgeous antique gold, antique replica, of a highly collectible and rare, circa 1900, Jesus Christ medallion signed by renowned French engraver and medalist Louis Victor Tricard. Around the border has "Christus Salvator" which means "Christ the Savior" in Latin. This medallion is larger and thicker than many of Tricard's pieces. I am blessed to have this original in my collection and be able to share this replica with you.
This 1 inch diameter medallion dangles on a 3.65mm antique gold rolo chain with a lobster clasp closure.
This fine replica piece is cast in solid gold bronze using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. The oxidation finishing process prevents tarnishing from contact with air. Excessive skin oils may darken the backside of the medallion. It is also best to not wear gold bronze in water. A polishing cloth is included so the medal can be polished to the original appearance. You would not damage the medal by contact with water since it is solid gold bronze (not a plating), but it may darken thus need additional polishing.
