Gorgeous solid .925 sterling silver antique replica of a very rare and detailed Saint Sebastian (Sebastien) medal from France. Saint Sebastian is a wonderful patron saint of athletes and soldiers. I am blessed to have this mint condition original piece in my collection and be able to share this replica with you.
St Sebastian is the patron saint of athletes because of his physical endurance and his energetic way of spreading and defending the Faith. St Sebastian is also the patron saint of soldiers because he entered the Roman army under Emperor Carinus in 283 in order to defend the confessors and martyrs of his day.
The medal is between 5/8 and 3/4 inch round and is available as the medal only (& ring) or dangling on a 1.3mm oxidized sterling silver wheat chain.
This fine replica piece is cast in solid .925 sterling silver using the lost wax method, antiqued (oxidized) and produced in the U.S.A.
