Gorgeous and unusual sterling silver, antique replica of a French Our Lady of the Rosary medallion by the artist Ferdinand Py. The medallion says “Notre Dame du Rosaire PP (priez pour) Nous” in French meaning “Our Lady of the Rosary Pray for Us”. This piece is available as the medal only with a ring, or dangling on a 1.3mm sterling silver wheat chain. The amazing details and depth are highlighted by the antiquing finishing technique.
This medallion is a bit over 3/4 inch diameter. I am blessed to have this rare original in my collection and be able to share this replica with you. The antique replica is much prettier than the original!
This fine replica is cast in .925 sterling silver using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. The antiquing finishing process makes this piece very low maintenance. This medal is not stamped 925 or sterling because it is identical to the original antique. The medal will test as .925 sterling silver. The wheat chain is stamped .925 sterling silver.
