The neatest sterling silver antique replica Saint Christopher Medal dangles from a 1.5mm oxidized sterling silver wheat chain. A lobster clasp closure completes the piece. The medal is in the shape of a shamrock and has "St. Christopher Protect Us" on the backside. Beautiful depth and oxidation on this piece!
St. Christopher is known as the patron saint of travelers. He was one of the "Fourteen Holy Helpers" and was born with the name "Reprobus". The name Christopher means "Christ bearer" and was given to him by Jesus after carrying the Child Jesus across a river.
This fine replica is cast in .925 sterling silver using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. The oxidation finishing process makes this non-maintenance. This medal is not stamped 925 or sterling because it is identical to the original antique. It will test as .925 sterling silver.
The medal is just under 1 inch.
