Gorgeous sterling silver, antique replica, of a Mother Mary and Baby Jesus pendant by the French artist Elie Pellegrin. This piece is on the smaller side for Elie Pellegrin designs (almost 1 inch), and has a similar front design to a larger round piece in the Holy Moments Collection. This is an unsigned solid .925 sterling silver piece that has an antiqued finish. I am blessed to have this original in my collection and be able to share this replica with you.
Mother Mary, Baby Jesus, the Fleur de Lis and the dots are all raised to show better detail. There is also a texture to the middle area of the surface which all adds incredible beauty to this piece!
The 7/8 inch medal may be purchased separately or dangling on a 1.5mm oxidized .925 sterling silver wheat chain necklace. The bail (or loop to hang on a chain) is fixed and attached to this piece.
This fine replica is cast in .925 sterling silver using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. This is high polished and finished with antiquing to highlight the details. This piece is less antiqued in appearance than many Holy Moments pieces. This medal is not stamped 925 or sterling because it is identical to the original antique. It will test as .925 sterling silver.
