Very pretty and meaningful antique replica sterling silver Saint Therese of Lisieux medals dangle from this Chaplet of St. Therese (also known as The Little Flower Chaplet). The prayer beads are gorgeous 8mm natural white howlite round gemstones (similar to a white marble with gray veining) separated by antique replica sterling silver spacer beads. The chaplet begins and ends with detailed antique replica sterling silver rose beads.
The medal with St Theresa's head and shoulders is an antique replica of a very rare medal from France. I am blessed to own this original and be able to share with you. The most unusual aspect is the gorgeous rose textured background behind St. Therese. The oxidation and antiquing process highlights these gorgeous details. On the front, in French, is "Sancta Teresia a Jesu Infante" meaning "St. Theresa of the Child Jesus". On the backside, in French, is "Je veux passer mon ciel a faire du bien sur la terre" meaning "I want to spend my heaven doing good on earth". The medal is signed by French artist "Lasserre" at the very bottom under St. Therese, but is very difficult to read. This medal is 1 inch diameter.
The second antique replica sterling silver medal says "I am your sister, your friend, I shall always be watching over you. St. Therese" with a full image on the obverse. This medal is a bit under 1 inch diameter.
This Chaplet comes in a gift box with the prayer card insert and a linen pouch.
The Chaplet end to end is 12 and 3/4 inches.
These fine replicas are cast in antiqued sterling silver using the lost wax method and produced in the U.S.A. The oxidation process makes these pieces non-maintenance.
